What We Sang - Introduction
Hello,
My name is Chandra and I am a Choir Director. I play for several choirs. My choir members' age range from 6 to "I'd better not say." :-) There's a Youth Choir, Young Adult (that's getting older every day), a Mass Choir, and a Senior choir.
I generally send an email to myself each week in order to keep a record of what we sang. This is helpful because I have found that I've been able to avoid "duplicating" music service for particular Sundays. It also helps me recall songs that I may overlook. The emails are all moved to a file named "What We Sang." On a few of the emails, I made short comments. I realized that I didn't get a true feel for the level of worship that the songs provided. Ergo, this blog.
I would really like to open up a dialogue about the music that use to minister to our congregations. I'm contemplating discussions about the lyrics, the musical arrangements, and especially how purpose. I would love to see all levels of musicians participate in this discussion.
So, with that being said. Let's start blogging!
LOL (Lots of Love)...Chandra
